Why does the Forester Top the List of Compact SUVs?

Consumer Reports ranked the 2022 Subaru Forester #1 out of 25 compact SUVs this year.  The roomy interior, great fuel-efficiency, and plenty of standard equipment contributed to its top ranking.  Subaru’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine combined with a Lineartronic CVT results in MPG up to 26/33 (city/highway).  The interior of the 2022 Subaru Forester offers high-quality, soft-touch seating materials with up to 111.6 cubic feet of passenger volume.  In the back, you have 74.2 cubic feet of cargo volume available, and an extra-wide rear gate opening makes loading and unloading large items easier.  Subaru Starlink Multimedia System comes standard in the 2022 Subaru Forester, making it easy to connect mobile devices through Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto.

Why does Outback Top the List of Midsize SUVs?

Consumer Reports from this year rated the 2022 Subaru Outback as #1 out of 11 other Midsize SUVs.  As always, consumers love that the Outback brings the best from Wagon and SUV designs into one vehicle.  CR noted that the Outback, “...has a solid feel, with a very comfortable ride that outshines even some luxury SUVs.”  With ground clearance up to 9.5 inches, up to 75.7 cubic feet of cargo volume, and 26/33mpg (city/highway), the 2022 Outback is up to any daily task or off-road adventure.  Consumer Reports also extolled the EyeSight Driver Assist Safety Technology, which comes standard on the Outback and all other Subaru SUVs.

Subaru SUVs are Safe Vehicles

Safety has always been a top priority for Subaru’s design engineers.  As modern technology has progressed, more sophisticated safety systems have been developed to keep you as safe as possible when driving a Subaru SUV.  Subaru’s Eyesight Driver Assist Technology utilizes a stereo camera configured on either side of the rear view mirror to monitor traffic movement, optimize cruise control, and warn you when you are swaying outside of your lane.  Automatic Pre-Collision Braking can bring you to a complete stop in an emergency.  Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering can help with steering, braking, and throttle control in daily traffic and long road trips.  EyeSight has been found to reduce rear-end crashes with injuries by up to 85%, and is included as a standard feature on all 2022 Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback models.

Subaru SUVs are Reliable Vehicles

Subaru designs vehicles to serve a long reliable life, and this is seen today with 96% of Subaru vehicles sold in the last ten years still on the road today.  The Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback all feature the Subaru Boxer Engine with a Lineartronic CVT, which gives all three SUVs smoother acceleration and a balanced, low center of gravity.  Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is another standard feature on all three Subaru SUVs that provides for a smooth ride through all types of roads and weather.  Subaru’s legendary reliability is why Kelley Blue Book awarded Best Compact SUV Resale Value to the Forester, Best Subcompact SUV Resale Value to the Crosstrek, and Best 2-Row Midsize SUV Resale Value to the Outback in 2021.

Subaru SUVs Get Great Customer Satisfaction Scores

According to a study from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) study, Subaru ranks second among all mainstream automakers. The study noted that customers were most satisfied with Subaru’s safety features (seat belts, airbags, headrests, anti-lock brakes, warning systems). The fact that the Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback topped the Consumer Reports lists this year, is the result of years of engineering and redesigning vehicles to deliver the highest quality product to the consumer.  All three Subaru SUVs come standard with features that make Subaru loyalists happy: Subaru’s Boxer Engine, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, and a host of other features and accessories that will take you where you want to go.
