What features give it Adventurous Capabilities?

  • Front Skid Plate: As your first line of defense against adverse terrain, the Subaru Wilderness utilizes a functional and stylish front skid plate accented with Anodized copper finish tokens.
  • Improved Angles: Both the front and rear bumpers of the Subaru Wilderness have been designed for adventurers with improved angles for better approach and departure clearance of obstacles.

What’s different about the tires on a Subaru Wilderness model?

The Subaru Wilderness models’ adventurous capabilities begin with their upgraded all terrain tires. The matte black alloy off roading, 17 inch wheels are perfect for the toughest terrain. Yokohama GEOLANDAR tires provide maximum performance and torque and each Wilderness model comes with a full size spare conveniently stored below the cargo area.

What’s different about the engine on a Subaru Wilderness model?

There are two features that distinguish a Subaru Wilderness engine.

  • X-mode: With AWD as a standard feature for all Subaru models, the Subaru Wilderness takes it to the next level. Subaru’s X-mode system uses sensors to detect when the vehicle loses traction and which tires are no longer able to maintain a grip on the road. With the press of a single button, you can enable X-mode to redistribute power to the tires with the best traction and cease the throttle response, cutting back on spinning wheels and almost simultaneously releasing more engine torque.
  • Turbo-charged engine: Both the Subaru Forester and Outback Wilderness models feature a standard 260 horsepower direct injection turbo-charged boxer engine. Delivering 277 pound feet of torque with the ability to tow 3,500 pounds. Paired with the re-tuned drivetrain features, the Wilderness models can handle up to a 40 degree incline at low-speed climbing better than any of its competitors.

What’s different about the Wilderness interior?

Enjoying the outdoors and some rough terrain doesn’t mean sacrificing a comfortable interior when you’re exploring the outdoors in the 2023 Subaru Outback and Forester Wilderness models. Featuring comfortable conveniences in the cabin like the led cargo lamp and water-repellent StarTex upholstery with its trendy honeycomb design. Store all your gear and more with the flexibility of a 60/40 split-folding rear seats with the backs covered with protective material ready to withstand some rough treatments.

When you and your passengers are ready for adventure, ride with comfort with Subaru StarLink multimedia system paired with smartphone operations and applications. Drive with peace of mind knowing your Subaru Wilderness comes standard with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology alerting its driver when they sway outside their lane, optimizing cruise control, and monitoring the surrounding traffic and applying full brakes during emergencies to protect you and your loved ones.
