The Toyota Highlander only offers some of these safety features and All Wheel Drive is an option but does not come standard. The Subaru Ascent was rated best all-wheel-drive SUV in the snow according to the Consumer Reports Annual Auto Survey.  The survey included owners who had not changed to snow tires and had driven at least six snowy days during the 2018-2019 winter.
