As a Subaru owner, you love getting out and about in all kinds of weather, but nothing compares to finding outdoor family fun in Philly in the spring and summer. There's more to do in terms of family fun in and outside of the city of Philadelphia than ten blog posts could handle, but here are some of the highlights of places that you need to go.

If you didn't make it out to the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival held April 6-12 in Philadelphia, you missed one of the most enjoyable, beautiful, and entertaining rites of spring. Although the flowers were not as fully realized due to lingering cold weather, the festival was still every bit the celebration of Japanese culture in Philadelphia that thousands of attendees expected.   

We may have left the snow and ice in our rearview mirror, but its ability to impact your Subaru can reach into spring and summer if you don't start the season with a spring checkup. Despite the durability and consistent performance that have been built into your Subaru, there are a number of good reasons why a spring checkup is a good idea.   

There's still time left in April to do your part to help mother earth with the Subaru Loves the Earth Event. Throughout the month of April, Rafferty Subaru is hosting an E-Waste Recycling Event in our store to collect unwanted electronics. The first 50 customers who participated received a complimentary environmental badge of ownership.   

For those of us that see harsh winters, the downside of spring is the increased number of potholes on the roadways. The terrible and unsettling noises that you hear when you unsuspectingly hit a pothole are pretty bad, but what can be worse is what potholes can do to your car.   

One of the secondary dangers to winter as regards to your automobile comes from the salt that is used on roads to help against snow and ice buildup. The damage that this salt can do to your car in the long run requires you to fulfill some important cleaning protocols.  

Subaru sold the most cars in 2014 than any other year - 513,693, to be exact. The record-breaking sales year was the result of a team effort between Subaru, its many dedicated dealerships, and its customers. So to celebrate breaking half a million sales, Subaru is giving back. 513,693 meals will be distributed to over 200 food banks across the country through Feeding America. 

As winter grinds on, cabin fever is setting in for many of us that long for activities that take us outside of the home and workplace. As a remedy, here are just a few of the many activities and places that families can go in and around Philly to get a temporary cure for that cabin fever feeling.   

Subaru of America has just completed its seventh annual "Share the Love" event where Subaru provides donations to worthy causes. During the event, which ran from November 20, 2014, through January 2, 2015, Subaru would donate $250 for every purchase of a new Subaru. This year, with the help of Subaru buyers, Subaru was able to increase the amount of donations from $10 million last year to $15 million this year. The chosen charitable causes…
