Here are just a few of the many restaurants and bars where you can bring your dog in the Philly area.

According to them there are more than a hundred of such bars and restaurants in and around the city that welcome dogs at outdoor tables. Here are just a few.

Fado Irish Pub has long been a Rittenhouse Square pub known to welcome well-behaved pups. This is also one of the great places to enjoy some great beers and televised soccer ranging from local favorites like Philly Union to the best of European and international teams. Bottomless pancakes and drink specials on Sunday before noon in May and a full menu of some of the best Irish dishes as well as a full menu of fantastic dinner and lunch menu items make this the place to be any day or night of the week.

The Druid's Keep

This is a favorite hangout spot for beer lovers, and it is one of a few bars that openly courts owners and their dogs with customer verification from their Yelp page and online dog travel directory Bring Fido.

1040 N. 2nd St. Philadelphia, PA 19123
From its gourmet hot dogs to a full lunch and dinner menu filled with Mexican favorites, Texas BBQ, and much more, it's all about great food and big fun. This is a pet friendly place where you can usually find one or two well behaved pooches in attendance.

Old and new world tavern fare, more than 100 whiskeys, and live music make this place a great spot. They welcome owners and their pooch, and if they’re really well behaved, they may get a little spoiling from the servers in terms of snacks.

1601 E. Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148
Located on E. Passyunk Avenue, one of the city's hottest restaurant destinations, this BYO establishment is not only among the best sushi bars in the city, it is reportedly the only one that lets you bring your dog. In addition to an award winning menu and chef as well as a beautiful indoor décor, Izumi has a great outdoor seating area where you and your dog can watch the city pass by while enjoying the food.

224 S. 15th St, Philadelphia, PA 19102
How could a place called Good Dog Bar not welcome well behaved dogs? This place overflows with hipness in its Rittenhouse Square location without putting on airs so everyone's welcome. A full craft beer and delicious food menu along with three dog-themed floors make this a great place for the dog lover in all of us.

1100 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19107
Known for being one of the city's best live music venues, they roll up the garage doors in the spring and summer so you can sit outside and enjoy the music when the weather permits. They love you to bring your well-behaved dog as long as they aren't spooked by the loud music.

We're at summer's doorstep so Subaru owners are all taking their dogs anywhere and everywhere that we can. The warmer weather means that every bar and restaurant that has an outdoor patio is set to take advantage of the weather. For many of them the red carpet is out for you and your dog to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere.
