Subaru of America has just completed its seventh annual "Share the Love" event where Subaru provides donations to worthy causes. During the event, which ran from November 20, 2014, through January 2, 2015, Subaru would donate $250 for every purchase of a new Subaru. This year, with the help of Subaru buyers, Subaru was able to increase the amount of donations from $10 million last year to $15 million this year. The chosen charitable causes that will receive the contributions include Make-A-Wish®, Meals On Wheels, the ASPCA®, and the National Park Foundation.
In the first six years of the event, Subaru has been able to
donate a total of $35 million to worthy causes through the "Share the Love" event. In this, our 7th year, new Subaru owners helped us reach a grand total
of $50 million.
Since 2008, Subaru has donated over $9 million to the ASPCA®
through the "Share the Love" event and helped support more than 7,000 pet
adoptions to date. In three years, Subaru of America has donated more than $4.5
million to Make-A-Wish® through the "Share the Love" event, helping to grant
over 600 wishes. Subaru retailers have also hosted toy drives and send-off
parties for wish kids.
Subaru retailers and Meals On Wheels have worked together
since 2008. In those six years, we’ve helped fund the delivery of nearly one
million meals. Subaru of America has worked with the National Park Foundation
to directly provide critical support to 71 national parks, preserving important
historical sites, protecting threatened species and habitat, and conducting
outreach and education programs in local communities.
The "Share the Love" event is an integral part of who we are
at Rafferty Subaru where we all feel that it's about more than just providing people
with the best possible vehicle and service; it's about being contributing
members of the communities in which we reside as well as the country overall. A
big thank you goes out to all of the customers that purchased a Subaru from
Rafferty Subaru during the event as well as those buyers nationwide that helped
Subaru America to "Share the Love."
