The temperature is dropping. Earlier and earlier each day to starts to get dark. The leaves have begun to fall to the ground. You are driving home after a long day at work through the nicely tree lined road. All of the sudden you see the giant deer running into the road. Oh no….thank goodness my Subaru stopped, you think.There seems to be a way to prevent the deer from sneaking out from the trees. A lovely little device called a deer whistle (see picture below). A deer whistle is an animal alert, deer warning device that aids in accident prevention with animals. It does help in saving human and animal lives through reduced deer and vehicle collisions. This makes it easier to avoid the costly damage that can occur when a vehicle and deer collide.
I first heard of these when
a customer mentioned them. They needed
to make sure that their new car was picked up during the day and that they had
time to install them before they headed home.
I had no idea (keep in mind I live in NJ and don’t often go outside the
nice suburban area I live in). The
customer says they are very important to have.
Of course, I needed to check these out.
They are really small and mounted right inside the grill work of the
car. Pretty cool.
