Have you thought about what you and the kiddies are doing this weekend?  Let me tell you about the wonderful time I had last weekend.  My husband and I loaded up the 5 kids into the Subaru Tribeca and journeyed from New Jersey to Center City.  We were on a mission to accomplish some Christmas shopping and also make sure all the kids had a fun filled day.  Driving in the city can be challenging but the Tribeca handled beautifully and glided into a parking garage with no problems. (Well, maybe a little arguing with the husband on where to park, but the driver wins!)

We had a short work to Love Park where the Christmas village is located. We wandered around looking at all the beautiful things for sale.  The adults stopped for some warmed spice wine from Chaddsford winery.  (Remember, you must be 21 to drink - and no driving!) We were able to find handmade hats for the kids, a beautiful nesting doll, delicious candy and then ceramic ornaments for the whole family.

After spending hours in the Village we went over to the Macy’s light show.  All the kids loved the lights and story.  After, we went through Dickens Christmas Village.  Click here for all the good information, including times of shows, the history of the show, and background on the Wanamaker Organ.

We had a great day and then all climbed back into the Tribeca for the journey home. There is so much to see and do that I will need to make another trip.  We didn’t have a chance to ice skate in the rink or stop by Franklin Square to see the lights there.  I recommend getting in your Subaru and having a wonderful day out. Share some of the pictures with us, too!
