The Subaru Ascent Reliability

The 2022 Subaru Ascent is a spacious and safe SUV that is built to last.  It is equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru Boxer engine, which is paired with a Lineartronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) for a smooth ride. The Ascent produces 260 horsepower, 277 lb-ft of torque, and achieves 21 city/27 highway MPG EPA-rated fuel economy.  Given proper care and maintenance, the Subaru Ascent is estimated to have a lifespan upwards of 250,000 miles.

With safety as a top priority, the 2022 Subaru Ascent comes standard with Subaru's award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, featuring Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering.  This technology has been shown to reduce rear-end crashes with injuries by 85%.  Subaru as a brand is top rated in safety and reliability.  A survey by Experian reported that 96% of Subaru vehicles are still on the road today, which is more than Honda or Toyota.

Subaru Ascent Value

Subaru vehicles are known to hold their value, and there is plenty of demand for new and used Ascent models today.  In five of the last six years, ALG named Subaru the Top Mainstream Brand for Residual Value.  Subaru has also won Kelley Blue Book's Best Resale Value in Overall Brand on four separate occasions.  The value of the 2022 Subaru Ascent is predicted to depreciate by 40% over 5 years.  An average new car will only retain 37% of its value over 5 years.  This puts the projected 60% 5-year resale value of the Subaru Ascent well above average.  Having this slow depreciation can save you money in the long run, if you decide to sell or trade in a vehicle.

2022 Subaru Ascent is a Perfect Fit

The 2022 Subaru Ascent provides plenty of passenger and cargo room, and includes an extensive roster of standard features and amenities.  The Ascent can be configured in an 8-passenger setup with a second row bench, or 7-passengers with second row captain chairs.  Behind the third row of seating, there is 17.8 cubic feet of cargo room.  Folding down the third row brings cargo space up to 47.5 cubic feet.  With both the second and third rows of seats down, the ascent has a maximum cargo capacity of 86.5 cubic feet.

All trim levels of the 2022 Subaru Ascent come standard with tri-zone front and rear automatic climate control, automatic power door locks, power windows and side mirrors, security system with immobilizer, rear vision camera, two USB input ports in the front section of the center console, and two USB charging ports in the rear section of the center console.  The standard Subaru Starlink Multimedia system features a 6.5-inch high-resolution touchscreen with smartphone integration, featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and bluetooth connectivity.
